50th Anniversary Golf Tournament

To help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Baton Rouge Police K-9 Division, a golf tournament will be held on September 3rd, 2011. The tournament will take place at The Oaks at Sherwood Country Club, located at 1655 Sherwood Forest Boulevard.

The tournament is a 2-man scramble with a blind draw for your partner the morning of the tournament. Tee-off time will be at 8:00 am. Lunch, courtesy of Extreme Catering, will be served.

There is a 72-golfer limit so those interested should sign up as soon as possible. The entry fee to play is only $40.

2011 COPS Walk

In October the annual Concerns Of Police Survivors (COPS) walk will once again be held in Washington D.C. The event is scheduled for October 8th - 9th.

This year one of our own will be walking in memory of CPL Chris Metternich. Lt. Theresa Smith will walk the 25 miles in honor of Chris.
